Grand Prix at the Red Cross Ball in Monte Carlo, 1997

The egg was designed to commemorate the 700th anniversary of the reign of the House of Grimaldi on the Throne of Monaco.

The miniature portraits of Prince Rainier III and Prince Albert II are rendered in guilloched gold by the artist Nina Klein.

Materials - gold, silver, gold plating, diamonds, plique-a-jour red and white enamel, transparent enamel against a guilloched background, portraiture.
