Easter egg - St. Isacc’s Cathedral

Work from the series “Great Cathedrals of Russia.”

Yet another work from A.G. Ananov’s inspired series “Great Cathedrals.” The intricate work on fashioning the cathedral building from Kalkhansk jasper was done by the stonecutter V. Morkovin, who died, alas, far too young.

Materials - gold, silver, gold plating, jasper, jade, transparent enamel against a guilloched background, painting.
